Meet Your Pathologist: Guy Lindberg, MD

Dr. Guy Lindberg joined Miraca Life Sciences in July 2006 and currently serves as Director of Clinical Interactions and is a member of the Miraca Dx Institutional Review Board. He is a fellow in the College of American Pathologists and a diplomat of the American Board of Pathology with certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, as well as subspecialization in Cytopathology.

Dr. Lindberg joined Caris Diagnostics in 2006 from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, where he was an Associate Professor of Pathology with 11 years experience. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and completed his AP/CP residency along with a surgical pathology fellowship year at UT Southwestern. After training, Dr. Lindberg joined the staff at UT Southwestern where he became actively involved in gastrointestinal pathology; he presented gastrointestinal pathology lectures to medical students and residents as well as serving as the pathologist on several GI tumor boards. He has over 45 peer-reviewed articles and was for several years director of a national continuing medical education course at UT Southwestern. As Director of Client Interactions, Dr. Lindberg helped develop the pathology team approach; through frequent interactions with a small number of pathologists, the goal is to create better communication and understanding for better patient care.
